Executive Director

We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven leader to serve as Executive Director of Family Services to lead our growing organization. This role falls under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, and leads the day-to-day operations and overall performance of programs serving pregnant and parenting women in our residential programs, and parenting families, infants, toddlers, and young children in our community-based services and Child Enrichment Center. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to be closely connected to program teams, staff, and the families we serve—while also helping guide the future of our work in the community.

What You Will Do

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all residential, early childhood, and community-based programs.
  • Participate with executive leadership in organizational planning and implement strategies that advance the mission, vision, and long-term goals of the organization.
  • Oversee program quality, licensing compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and support program leaders while fostering a collaborative, mission-focused culture.
  • Manage Family Services budgets, contracts, and financial resources in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, referral agencies, and stakeholders.
  • When needed, represent the organization through public speaking, media engagement, and community partnerships.
  • Support resource development efforts by cultivating partnerships, working with executive leadership to identify funding opportunities, and participating in donor engagement.
 

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Social Services, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Four or more years of progressive executive or senior leadership experience.  Working with state agencies is preferred.
  • Significant leadership experience within behavioral health, community health, nonprofit, or human services organizations.
  • Experience managing complex budgets and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and operational management.
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to use data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and public presentation skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to employee development and organizational culture.
  • Experience with fundraising, resource development, grant or contract management, and community partnerships is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, DOE, Full-Time, Exempt
