Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator to support the daily financial operations of our organization. This position plays an important role in billing, payment processing, account monitoring, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Salary:   $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, DOE, Full-Time, nonexempt

Schedule:   Generally, Monday – Friday, daytime hours, 34-40 hours per week

 

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and process billing, invoices, and claims accurately and on time
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Post payments, deposits, and adjustments into accounting systems
  • Assist with Medicaid, insurance, grant, and program billing processes
  • Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims
  • Support audits, compliance documentation, and finance recordkeeping
  • Communicate professionally with staff, agencies, and clients regarding billing matters
  • Collaborate with program and finance staff to improve billing accuracy and efficiency

 

What You Will Bring

  • High school diploma required
  • Experience in accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or finance preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Understanding of basic accounting and billing practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Successful completion of a background check required
