Join our team this summer and help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 0–5. As a Summer Support Staff member, you’ll work alongside teachers to support daily classroom activities and ensure high-quality, inclusive care.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, hours vary
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Temporary/Seasonal
What You Will Do
- Support age-appropriate learning activities, play, and classroom routines
- Assist in maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Help with transitions, meals, rest time, and group activities
- Model and follow best practices for health, safety, and hygiene
- Communicate respectfully with families and support family engagement
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistency in care and learning
- Adapt to different classrooms and support diverse learning needs
- Follow all program policies and state licensing requirements
What You Will Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (experience preferred, not required)
- A passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Flexibility, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and responsive in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to changing needs
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- The ability to pass required background checks
