Rehabilitation and Transportation Aide

Salary:  $17.00 – $18.00 DOE, nonexempt

Hours:  Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with a one-hour break

Supervisor:  Program Manager

Florence Crittenton Family Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and driven Residential Rehabilitation & Transportation Aide to support mothers and their children in a structured, trauma-informed residential setting. This role blends therapeutic support with safe and reliable transportation services, making a direct impact on families working toward stability and self-sufficiency.


What You Will Do

  • Provide safe transportation for clients and their children to school, childcare, medical appointments, court, and other essential services.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and communicate updates to the clinical and residential team.
  • Deliver therapeutic supervision in a residential setting, promoting safety, structure, and positive behaviors.
  • Model and coach healthy parenting skills, including attachment-building and age-appropriate child development practices.
  • Facilitate daily routines, recreational activities, and clinical programming as designed by the treatment team.
  • Monitor the home environment to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with program standards.
  • Complete timely and thorough documentation, incident reports, and ADL charting.
  • Support medication self-administration, drug screening protocols, and mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Participate in staff meetings, ongoing trainings, and crisis prevention education.


 

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).
  • At least 19 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • 1–2 years of experience in mental health, substance use treatment, youth services, parenting support, or residential care strongly preferred.
  • Compassion for underserved populations and families impacted by trauma.
  • Strong boundary-setting skills and the ability to communicate clearly—verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain calm in crisis situations, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to complete CPR, CPI, HIPAA, trauma-informed care, and other required trainings (provided if not current).
