Florence Crittenton is delighted to announce a record breaking Paint the Town Pink 2017. The organizations’ annual fundraiser was last Saturday February 11th at the Lewis & Clark Fairgrounds and grossed $277,723.
The event, celebrating its 15th year, was a huge success due to the investment of the Helena community through time, talent and donations. The event provided an opportunity to support Crittenton’s life-changing programs that offer hope, education and support to teen moms, babies and young families in the community.
One of Crittenton’s current client’s, Shyla Guldborg, a 21 year old pregnant young woman spoke to the crowd of her desire to build a better life for herself and her baby with the help of Florence Crittenton’s new supportive housing program.
Barbara Burton, Executive Director, stated, “This year’s PINK was a yet another demonstration of the incredible support shown by the Helena community. The money raised this weekend makes a tangible difference in our capacity to support young families. Last year we were able to support 283 families through our community and residential programs. When you hear from these young families you realize the ripple effect of change and how deeply it affects us all. We are so grateful for the donors and sponsors that make this happen every year.”
We would like to particularly thank our major sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anderson Zurmuehlen Tech Services and Edge Marketing & Design.
All proceeds of Paint the Town Pink will directly benefit the girls, babies and young families served through Crittenton programs, including residential programs and community-based services.
