Mykell Fox is well aware of what her life would have been like if it weren’t for the Florence Crittenton Home.

“It was 2005,” she said. “I was 16. I was a junior in Shelby and became pregnant.”

Fox plans to tell her story at this year’s Paint the Town Pink gala — Florence Crittenton Home’s annual fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Lewis and Clark Fairgrounds.

“I was in an abusive environment,” Fox recalled in a recent interview, so he realized she needed a safe place to turn.
