Foster mother Hilary Wald is just one of many local parents learning new ways to connect with her children through services and classes offered at a local group home for young pregnant mothers.

“Even if I wasn’t a foster parent, I would really enjoy taking this class,” Wald said of Circle of Security, a free class she is taking at Florence Crittenton, a century-old organization in Helena that until recently focused almost entirely on offering residential care and counseling to teen moms.

Mothers, fathers, children and parents-to-be of all ages can now turn to Florence Crittenton for a variety free child-care resources and educational programs at the group home’s new Community Outreach Center, located at 901 N. Harris.
