Through a partnership with Helena Housing we are delighted to announce we will be opening a new Community Outreach Center at 940 N. Roberts Street. This purpose-built building is perfectly situated on Billings Avenue next to Helena High School and will enable many more families to be served in the community.
The overall purpose of the Florence Crittenton Community Outreach Center is to provide early childhood education to families with young children throughout the Lewis and Clark area and beyond. These services include support groups for teen moms, such as prenatal education, and a variety of parenting classes for parents of all ages. The new facility will also allow Florence Crittenton to relocate its administrative offices back to the main facility, helping with overall expenses and efficiency of programs.
Another addition to Florence Crittenton’s community based services that will be housed in the new center is a Home Visiting Program in partnership with the Lewis & Clark County Health Department. Florence Crittenton offers Parents As Teachers® and SafeCare® which are both internationally recognized, evidence-based home visitation programs based on cutting-edge research around early childhood brain development. The services aim to increase positive parenting skills, access to community resources, child development, and overall success of the family
