Before I came to Florence Crittenton I was 15 and living with my boyfriend who was abusive to me.  As much as I knew it was wrong I didn’t have the strength to walk away.  I was taking drugs, drinking and not going to school.  My life was crazy yet I knew if I carried on like this I would end up in jail or dead.

Candy's Story
Running away may seem like the only answer when you are 14 and struggling with an abusive family member.  However, things just became more complicated for Candy as she struggled to stay sober and then discovered she was pregnant.  When Candy came to Florence Crittenton when she was 14 years old and 3 months pregnant.
