Teen Pregnancy presents an enormous opportunity for growth and change in the life of a young parent, her extended family and in the life of her child.
Florence Crittenton’s Residential Program and Community Services are aimed at wrapping services around pregnant and parenting teens and providing them with the tools & support needed to be successful.
The treatment model we provide is primarily relationship-based, where the emphasis is on building and facilitating mutually respectful, safe and trusting relationships. This creates a therapeutic climate that not only teaches, but models and fosters healthy and appropriate relationships, and sets the stage for clients to safely work through the issues and challenges they may face.
A primary focus of this approach is intensive individual and group work centered around healthy bonding and attachment in relationships. This becomes especially important as the parents prepare to create a safe and healthy environment for themselves and their babies.
